Para construir la forma negativa se añade not despu�s del
verbo:
 I am
yo no soy
you are t� no eres/Vd.
no es
he is not
�l no es
she is ella no es
it is
�l/ella/ello no es
Observe que hay formas alternativas en las contracciones
utilizadas para la forma negativa:
I am not = I�m
not
you are not = you�re
not = you aren�t
he is not = he�s
not = he isn�t
she is not = she�s
not = she isn�t
it is not =
it�s
not = it isn�t
I�m not Mr
Fry.
No soy el Sr. Fry.
You�re not
French. = You aren�t
French. T�/Vd. no eres/es franc�s.
He�s not
here. = He isn�t
here. (�l)
no est� aqu�.
She�s not
his wife. = She isn�t
his wife. (Ella) no es
su esposa.
It�s not my
party. = It isn�t my
party. No es mi fiesta.
Si, por ejemplo, quiere decir �Sally es su mujer no su novia�
hay dos formas de hacerlo:
Sally is his wife, she isn�t
his girl-friend.
Sally is his wife, she�s
not his girl-friend.
