blip FrontPage 2000 gave the kids lots of ways to customize their Web images. For example, FrontPage helped them make transparent images - so objects looked like they were floating on top of the background.

pixel They also interlaced some of the pictures - which is a special way to make images download onto a Web visitor's computer.

Oh, Blip! Remember that page where they had those elastic letters stretching onto the screen? Sigh! Reminded me of the ocean

blipAhem. Focus, Pixel! The effect that Pixel just mentioned was created using Dynamic HTML - DHTML, for short - but don't let the name woogle you! It's just a way to animate text and images on a Web page. With FrontPage 2000, it was really easy to add DHTML effects.
